Picked up a friend in Moabit yesterday and ended up exploring the surprisingly wonderful Spandauer Forst. Even after seventeen years in the city, I still have much more to discover.
There’s no lake here, but a vast game reserve and a small stream, and it’s big enough for a three hour hike (with picnic breaks). Apparently the coldest spot in Berlin is also in these woods, but we didn’t get as far as that.
