@coreewoltering :: Congratulations on the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for the Ice Age Trail @iceagetrailorg Winding through Wisconsin, the 1200 mile trail is part of the nation’s backcountry trail net work.
Coree’s time of 21 days 15 hours and 35 minutes is incredible. Coree kept running through rain, humidity, injuries, sleep deprivation and mosquitoes. Thanks to his support team and pacers Coree’s motivation kept his pace on track. Coree said the experience was “by far the most challenging thing I have ever done. The Ice Age Trail was a lesson in patience, adaptability, and perseverance. It feels amazing to now hold the FKT.” Insight to nutrition: towards the end of his run food equated to calories. Convenience store snacks, though nutritionally bereft, provided the fuel to keep Coree running. Respect and kudos Coree.
