I’ve been trying to come up with words that express how I feel about Elijah’s murder. From the person who called the police because a Black man was bundled up and dancing down the street, to the police who very clearly didn’t see him as human. I, along with so many of you, am enraged.
In my stories I’ve posted numbers to call and demand the officers who killed Elijah be charged with the murder they committed. The only mailbox I got through to this morning was the Governor’s, but I’ll keep trying. Please.
Keep calling, keep posting. Do it for this exceptional man and do it for all Black and Brown people who are at risk when they go out for an iced tea. ❤️
