Elijah McClain 💔 should still be with us today, but he was violently murdered by Aurora PD.
We have to keep talking about the murders of Black & Brown people in our country because they aren’t just names, they are sons, daughters, brothers, & sisters. The over “policing”, the Karen’s who call 911 over “suspicious” individuals, the folks yelling “ALL LIVES” while diminishing Black lives, they are killing innocent people everyday with their racist attitudes and actions. This goes beyond reading a book and educating yourself on systemic racism in our country (but plz read anyway!), this is dismantling an entire racist, corrupt, inept system that was never intended to protect marginalized communities. We need justice for Elijah, for Sandra, For Breonna, for Tony, for Dominque, for George, for Rem’mie, for Layleen, for Ahmaud, & countless other people. The list is too long.
Also let me be very clear: I won’t debate the validity of black lives in my comments, my page is not a democracy, so be respectful.
