Women like Riah &⁣ Dominique are almost always left out of the media coverage because society has proven again and again to not care about trans folks (J.K. Rowling 👀). Out of all of the protests I have attended, not once has anyone chanted the trans brothers & sisters names that have been stolen from us. I owe so much of my freedom as a queer woman to black trans women who paved the way & literally dedicated their lives to the cause.
