Worked in a chocolate factory , was a butcher, maintenance man and started a carpet and tile installation company with his brother. My dad can do anything and he taught me I could too. He used to say “Maria you can do whatever you put your mind to.” He is also type 1 diabetic and because of the language barrier it was difficult to understand how to properly take care of himself. He had many many low blood sugar attacks. I’ve almost lost my dad more times than I can count. So many memories crying by his hospital bedside. So many moments finding him collapsed and having to revive him. That’s why I understand how precious everyday is with him. If you don’t have your dad today my heart is with you.
