When you think about it, that’s not even a lifetime ago! 😱 Even though interracial marriages are legal, we still faced a ton of cultural & family opposition. I’ll personally never forget how hard that journey was, but I would do it a million times over to be with him. 💛 I’m so proud that we gave love an authentic opportunity to simply do it’s thing. I’m so proud that we fought for that love & WON. I’m so proud of the TEENY blessings that have come from this marriage. What I’m learning about love is that it’s like a garden. It takes two to plant the seed and you simply don’t walk away after that. You have to tend to that garden everyday - no matter what. That’s the real work but so rewarding when you see things start to bloom & blossom! God also intervenes with the things we cannot control like bringing the sunshine & necessary rain showers.
