I never had the intention of going to a university. My goal was to survive. College never seemed like a realistic option. My parents never mentioned it, and I never asked. Then one day, I got tired of being a dumbass and did something about it. I’m what you call a non-traditional first-generation student (More like zero gen). 👩🏻‍🎓 The point is, it’s never too late to change your journey. Wherever you come from or whatever you’ve been through, it does not mean a thing. I’ve been homeless, broke, suicidal, depressed, but I always kept going.
