But I am not my family nor their choices. I am my own person, with my own views and I believe in justice & equality! I wanted to experience this moment for myself, to be with my fellow Angelenos bc I believe in justice & change! I marched for 7 miles yesterday & it was beautiful, people from different races, religions and backgrounds came together for a common cause. Don’t laugh at my “deep” quote. Lol. I’m a #Philosophy major and this one hit me hard at 5am that morning ☺️ ps. Although it sounds good to say that there is no such thing as a good cop, trust me, there are. If you say “all cops are bad” how is that different than attributing specific qualities to a race, ethnicity or religion? How is that different than stereotyping? We are smarter than that. Generalizations are ignorant. Yes, we need change in law enforcement from how they train their officers to holding them accountable for misconduct. I am the first to tell you that and i am joining the fight to make that happen. I believe we need to invest in education and in our communities more than in law enforcement. I invite you to think deeply, independently and to ask yourself, “How can I be contribute to making society better for all?” Let’s be solution oriented.
