アリシア・ウィットさんのインスタグラム写真 - (アリシア・ウィットInstagram)「there is so much beautiful coming-together, and the beginning sparks of understanding, unity and communion, that i see amidst the chaos of the last few days. i do. ❤️🙏🏻❤️the vast majority of the protests and demonstrations, and protesters and demonstrators, have been -*peaceful*- amidst the pain and deeply felt, justified anger. it breaks my heart when i see violence & destruction, carried out by a relative handful of individuals - but it breaks my heart with happy tears when i see all of the positive videos and images. police taking a knee, marching with the people. the huge numbers of people who have come out, despite a pandemic - masked and keeping distance best they can. the huge number of people who are not of color who have shown up, who are posting, who are donating. showing that they understand that they know they can never understand the challenges people of color face every single day. and that we all want this to change, for the decency and good of our world. and not just whether we think it directly affects us. i believe it *all* directly affects us, all of us. i found this article to be beautiful, informative and full of resources, including reading material and podcasts to help illuminate and educate us more deeply on the Black experience - i’m sharing the link in my bio, and downloading/buying a number of the educational material referenced. i have also donated today to two organizations that i believe are doing good and important work: Equal Justice Initiative and Campaign Zero - @eji_org wetheprotesters.org. praying for healing, meaningful change to come of this, and praying for peace. love to you all this evening. #blacklivesmatter」6月1日 7時51分
