Some people find it essential for their mind. If I am feeling sad or really anxious then as soon as I start moving I cry and then feel terrible. I’ve been trying some online classes this month with some friends and we do it together while on a video call to make it fun. But last week I felt rubbish, so I didn’t do that and watched TV instead. The first six weeks of lockdown I didn’t go for as much as a walk. Do what will make you feel good, never use it as a punishment. And for the millionth time, yoga is not a cure for depression. ⁣ ⁣ ✨ ONLINE - if you know that social media is making you feel terrible about yourself, you can either a) take a break and avoid it altogether or b) change your experience. If you follow someone who makes you feel bad (even if they don’t mean to) then you can unfollow them! If that feels too much or you just need a pause on seeing them, mute their posts or stories for as long as you like, they never need to know. Add more positive influences; find people who look like you, and who don’t, who make you feel good. Social media can be a tricky game but the beauty of it is that you do have a good amount of control - your feed is your own to curate in a way that works for you.⁣ ⁣ ✨ FOOD - someone replied and said they felt like if they didn’t come out of quarantine lighter, they’d have failed.
