Photo by @paoloverzone | Nizar Ibrahim, a paleontologist and National Geographic explorer, removes large rocks from a Spinosaurus excavation site in Morocco. A fossil tail recently unearthed in the Sahara by an international team of scientists, led by Ibrahim, belongs to a specimen that is the most complete Cretaceous theropod yet found in mainland Africa.
