I often felt so connected to her because I also felt so stuck. Being an elite athlete, sometimes it feels like you only are living half a life. You exist for your sport, and there isn’t room for much else in your life. I felt SO much of what Satine was going through (minus the lady of the night aspect, the consumption, the arranged relationship ok wow nothing in common at all but you get it) and she made me feel free being able to live through the movement she gave me.
