I want to spread awareness today on #nationalpetday along with @trupanion about the importance of having insurance for your pets. This was the sickest I've been in my 10 years. It came on so suddenly, and caught everyone by surprise. Mom suspects I may have picked up cross contamination germs from Tater Tot's kennel/carrier or fur (he had to be admitted to the hospital for obstipation, another unexpected surprise) and had come back home about a week before I got sick. My illness (suspected URI with secondary bacterial infection) resulted in 3 emergency vet visits over a 10 day period and 2 visits to my regular vet along with 6 different medications. Thankfully I made a full recovery! 😺😺 Mom is so happy we are all covered by Trupanion so she could focus on helping us get better without worrying about the bills.
