A great way to check on your flock’s health is to see if your ladies are eating their own eggs! If they are, they’re usually lacking in some sort of nutrient like calcium or protein. A quick way to fix the deficiency is to start throwing eggs back to the hens - but if you give away a lot of eggs like we do, there other ways to supplement calcium - we like to mix ground oyster shells in their feed.
