The directing (shout out to @the_a_prentice ), the way it was shot, the performances (I meannnn the legends @courtneybvance & @niecynash1 and our star #MamoudouAthie ! ), the music 🔥🔥🔥...all of it, came together beautifully. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it. The way it celebrates Black folx and Black culture (with nuanced portrayals!!!) is so important, and exactly the work that I want to be doing. Truly a dream job for me. I believe in the power of storytelling to shift culture, to allow people that are not normally portrayed with complexity in media to feel seen, and to create real change.
