Photo by @babaktafreshi | It was about 6 a.m. in Kathmandu and still dark. I was walking in Durbar Square exploring the city's historic heart at dawn. On one side the prayers were lighting candles for the 12-foot (3.7-meter) statue of the Hindu god Kala Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Shiva. The Kathmandu Valley is a World Heritage site filled with ancient temples.
