This sandstone butte is located in Sedona, Arizona, in the Coconino National Forest. Cathedral Rock is made of red-bed sandstone that gets its color from the presence of ferric oxides. It is one of the most photographed sites in Sedona, so I knew I wouldn’t have the place to myself.
