Photo by @daisygilardini | South Georgia is home to thousands of king penguins. The chicks, also called woolies, are extremely curious creatures. As soon as you lie on the ground with them, they come to greet you in a very inquisitive way.
When photographing wildlife, I try to “work my subject” whenever possible. This means shooting with different lenses while trying every angle.
I prefer to lie on the ground and be at eye level with my subject. Sometimes, though, an even lower point of view can be very effective.
