Apply a product to help smooth hair and protect against heat from the hot tools. Emma used the Shea Sleek Smooth Styling Spray to protect the hair up to 450 degrees. STEP 3. Blow dry hair like regular with a large round brush. STEP 4. Brush the hair to smooth it before applying flat iron, so you don’t iron the tangles or knots into the hair. Glide the flat iron slowly from roots to tips. STEP 5. Go back in with Shea Sleek Smooth Styling Spray to the very ends and then really taper the ends with the flat iron, to get them really straight and pin-pointy smooth. STEP 6.
