Don’t treat this like it’s the flu (death rates being compared to the flu is not helpful as this is a new virus and the effects are unknown). The main problem is that if many people get sick at once like in China or Italy there will not be enough hospital beds or supplies and the hospitals will be overwhelmed. 2. **in densely populated/crowded areas (most cities don’t need to worry about this)**If you have access to a mask consider wearing it (1st choice would be to avoid the area if possible). The virus is invisible for 2-30 days (some rare cases have shown symptoms later now) so you could have it and spread it, this is about protecting other people too.If you see someone wearing one you don’t need to cross the road or treat them like a virus, instead thank them because they are protecting you too. 3. If you are fortunate enough to work from home do so. Stay home as much as possible. this will minimize the spreading and the risk of you getting it/passing it to your family members before you show symptoms. To those who still have to work; people in the service industries, doctors, nurses, health professionals who are risking their lives to keep ours going, THANK YOU. Let’s try to stay home as much as possible to help them out so we can do our part to minimize the spreading to them too. I know many you have plans you’ve paid for but please don’t put yourself and others at risk temporarily. 4. Don’t hoard food. It’s hard not to when you see others doing it, but again I come from the future and once the panic buyers get their stock and stop the shelves will be able to restock. Share with people, be kind, get what you need. There will be enough. IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER AND DO WHAT WE CAN WE CAN BEAT THIS FASTER. We can have a discussion here, feel free to share your thoughts and concerns. Let’s comfort each other and help where we can ❤️ @elbowsan_xx also has a good discussion going on over on his account Stay safe and be kind」3月14日 13時16分 - taytay_xx
