“For this particular number, we thought about it being an ensemble look where we’re focusing on the whole picture of the group,” said the choreographer @keonemadrid. “At the same time, we wanted the audience to have the opportunity to zoom in on certain people.” In “Beyond Babel” (@beyondbabelshow) at the Gym at @judsonchurchnyc, Keone and his wife, @_marimadrid, present (with @hideawaycircus) a loose retelling of “Romeo and Juliet.” Keone and Mari, San Diego choreographers, tell their story through West Coast urban dance.
