Real style is never about getting a look right or wrong - it’s all about being yourself on purpose! My style has changed massively throughout the years as I’ve found myself and established my identity with time. As a child I was covered up like a Victorian from head to toe and I felt nervous and shy about even showing a knee in a school skirt! In my early teens I wore dark baggy clothes during my goth phase, as I approached my twenties everything was then short and pink to match my Barbie blonde hair! And when I had my children I hid away under jeans and baggy jumpers because “a mother shouldn’t show her body”. Screw that! I turned to fitness instead and feel strong, confident and in control of my life and I love how I look because of my imperfections and quirks which make me who I am. Now I wear whatever I want whenever I want, I don’t fit into a box, I don’t have just one look or one phase of life. If I love it then I wear it - what does it matter if it looks better or worse on me than anyone else, it’s what it makes you feel like when you’re wearing it that counts. Forget size or age, they’re just numbers there to divide us!
