He may be spreading his wings, but he still loves his Keepers and relishes any quality time he can spend with them — as you can see from this moment between him and Melchi! We rescued Faraja nearly eight years ago, after he was found orphaned in Amboseli. He’s never been alone since — even now, as he explores a wild life, he has his friends Zongoloni, Ziwa, and Ngasha by his side, and when he chooses to return back to Umani Springs, his Keepers are waiting for him with open arms.
