Amazing night at @thejaneclub hearing former congressional candidate @liuba4congress discuss her PAC, VOTE MAMA, dedicated to supporting Democratic moms with young children running for office up and down the ballot. They are working to literally change the faces of elected officials in this country. Less than 5% of women in Congress have young children. BECAUSE CHILDCARE IS TOO EXPENSIVE. BECAUSE FUNDRAISING IS TOO DIFFICULT. BECAUSE OF THE MOTHERHOOD PENALTY. @votemamaus supports their candidates from the ground up- helping with direct fundraising and providing mentorship to lift up and get moms elected.
