Ko Phi Phi is made up of two main islands, Ko Phi Phi Don and Ko Phi Phi Le, which were both damaged in the 2004 tsunami. Approximately 4,000 people in the area lost their lives. It took more than a year to rebuild the island's infrastructure. Now Ko Phi Phi is among the country's most popular beach destinations.
