Our Year in Coffee 2019 brings together our four limited-edition blends inspired by the scents and tastes of the seasons. Each blend acts like a Proustian memory, flooding you with a sense of nostalgia—and deep pleasure. ⁠⠀

To translate the flavors into visuals, we took a cue from the paintings of Mark Rothko and arranged rich swaths of color in soft gradients. Inspired by the @specialtycoffeeassociation‘s color wheel, which assigns different colors to coffee flavors, we chose hues that reflect the flavors in each blend. ⁠⠀

For our Winter Blend, for instance, we used rich saturated tones and flickers of gold to illustrate the notes of brandied cherries, candied lemon, and roasted chicory root. Spring, meanwhile, was more about warm-toned pastels, with flavors of honey, toffee, and chamomile. We love how these designs capture the way coffee flavors meld while remaining distinctive. ⁠⠀
