Normally I would set up with a tripod for a longer exposure, but I had underestimated the speed at which this storm was moving, and the light was changing very fast. Launching out of my car I flicked the dial to one of my pre-selected settings for storms, planted my feet, and anchored my elbows by my sides to reduce camera shake. At 9fps I was able to nail this massive bolt handheld with good sharpness and clarity.
