It is hard to describe, but every time I drive back into this city nestled between the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains and the vast blue surge of the Pacific, I feel such a sense of peace wash over me. It’s like I am settling into my own skin again, getting back in touch with my roots. Home is grounding. And I am so lucky to have a place like that. These are a few of my favorite Santa Barbara things: Lagoon runs (this photo was post-run), sunsets at the beach, playing with my parents’ puppies (they have two cute little dogs), family game nights (I am the queen of Sequence), hiking in the mountains, drinking coffee in our tropical backyard, hosting BBQs & parties, evenings in the Funk Zone (downtown), eating burritos from my favorite Mexican joints (Los Agaves & Freebirds), beach volleyball at East Beach, jumping off the Goleta Beach pier (not technically legal..), surfing at Campus Point, golfing at Sandpiper, stadium workouts at La Playa field, and doing anything/ everything with my two little brothers.
