When I was in Kenya 🇰🇪 I had the chance to visit @tegla_loroupe_peace_foundation thanks to @gina_din and @naythan_dk 🙏🏿to encourage the athletes there who are preparing to compete under the refugee flag 🙌🏿 to keep on pushing and to not allow their challenges to stop them from believing in their dreams. While there I was able to speak to BBC’s @georgiendirangu about the importance of having a platform and a chance to provide an opportunity to the future generations and how important it is to focus on being more than just a professional athlete even if their main dream is to be an athlete.
There is more to life than just you, but you have to take steps and build a strong you first so you can stand strong to build others like you.
