Photo by @ジミー・チン | A 25-year dream realized …⁠ This spring Kristine Tompkins and Tompkins Conservation concluded the largest private land donation in history with the formal handover of Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park and Patagonia National Park to the people and government of Chile. Over the last 25 years Tompkins Conservation created five new national parks, expanded three others, and helped conserve more than 14.2 million acres of wilderness. It's truly incredible and almost impossible to understand the scope of what they have achieved. Their work is a global model for conservation and a beacon of hope for the world in protecting and preserving our remaining wild places. Thank you, Kris and Doug, for showing us the way forward.
