I remember how I felt in this photo & it was a lot of happiness with sprinkles of anxiety, depression & loneliness. While I had support around me, most of my friends didn’t have small children, and certainly didn’t understand how badly I was struggling with being a new mom again who was in the depths of PPD (post partum depression). There’s a reason they say it takes a village to raise a family, and whatever that family looks like, you need support. One resource I found helpful that I’ve share before is the motherhood app, @peanut! Peanut is a great app to meet like-minded moms in your area, chat, share advice and learn from one another. Connections like the ones I’ve made through Peanut have helped me stay sane and reminded me how important community is!
