If you would have told me my son, who hates like roller coasters or is terrified of the thought of zip lining, that he would be begging to be first in line, be the copilot in the helicopter, that he would want to sit up front River Rafting or give me a heart attack over looking the Grand Canyon because (I thought) he was way too fucking close to the edge.... I would have laughed. I always wanted him to be adventurous and sometimes would get pissed because he would freak out in line for space mountain or NYNY’s rollercoster. I can’t make him like the things I do and things will come when he’s ready. I have learned to step back and let him come to me and encourage any kind of adventure he wants to try. And because of everything we got to experience at Grand Canyon West this summer, we have a huge list to do in Hawaii.
