🐻🐻🐻 If this doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will! Now that we’ve got your attention, we’d like to share a few safety tips from Mama Bear (and our friends at @parks.canada):
🔊 Make noise so the bears know you’re there. Near streams, dense vegetation and berry patches, call out, clap and even sing!
🐕 Keep your dog on a leash. Unfortunately, your friendly pup can provoke a defensive behaviour.
🆒 If you see a bear, keep your cool. Speak calmly but firmly to the bear and make yourself appear big. Back away slowly rather than running away.
♨️ If you are travelling in bear country, carry bear spray.
