"A 3am wakeup call followed by a 1 hour drive across the black, volcanic 'sand-sea' in a vehicle from the 1980's to reach the peak of an adjacent mountain. We watched the sunrise to the East of an erupting Mt. Bromo situated in East Java. For me, capturing moments like this is the quintessence of photography.
