aheapofwisteria I would argue that the girl who is unaware of sec trafficking issues, and the grandparents who knit but are racist and homophobic etc, are just ignorant and those types of people are the most damaging to society. White people raise their children with ignorance and entitlement and grow up to become “nice people” but people who put blinders on to issues that don’t affect them. They grow up to become the “nice” racist homophobic grandparents, who then continue to raise “nice” children, grandchildren, etc. Our world is falling apart and while I don’t think it’s proactive to jump down people’s throats when they don’t know something, I do think it’s imperative to stress engaging with what makes you uncomfortable in confronting.

kathhiinka @iltragedy people are just trying to make themselves feel better, convincing themselves their doing their best(they ain’t doing shit). So annoying. We need to change, and most people on here probably have the means to choose the environmental friendly options when it comes to all of the above. Being vegan doesn’t stop you from living your life, neither does using less plastic ect. Just because you do one of the above dosent mean u don’t need to worry about the other stuff. We need to make changes as individuals, then the bigger companies, the goverment ect will follow, everything works after what we demand...

saving.kittens I’m 14 and I’m trying my best to be the best person I can be and help as many people and animals as possible. I’m currently foster kittens and other animals, I volunteer at my local animal shelter, I give all my old toys and clothes to charities and have made bags of food and and clothes to dive to the homeless I’m trying my best to help this but I know that there is always something I can do to improve myself x

_.zak__ I love this. I got yelled at recently for drinking Starbucks with a plastic straw - I know that doesn't help the environment but I'm a vegetarian & I'm trying to cut down on dairy 🤷‍♂️ perhaps I'll buy a metal straw in the future, who knows

_livismith but if you’re aware of companies that test on animals, but STILL choose to use them? That’s different. You are AWARE that Clinique tests on and causes suffering to animals, but you choose to ignore.
