@christalovely as a fellow vegan, you make certain decisions that aren’t always going to be perfect. Impossible Burger is not vegan because it tested on rats but vegans eat them anyways because it supports a plant-based product. Birkenstock’s makes vegan shoes but also leather shoes. Makeup companies have both vegan + cruelty-free lines, along with non-vegan/non-cruelty-free. While it’s safe to assume using a non-vegan product is not cruelty-free it is not safe to assume that what she is doing is not cruelty-free. Companies are changing, adopting social responsibility, and sustainable practices. I’m a vegan, 5 years. I support Cammie + trust that she is making the most ethical decisions due to past decisions she’s made. So it is unfair to keep calling her out without nitpicking something you don’t even know the full story to.

@heatherariana__ Just as Cammie said she has “explained herself over and over...” so have I. I was simply asking questions and having genuine concerns about this post. I feel, as a vegan, I can never questions someone’s choices without being “that vegan” and it’s frustrating. I am so beyond passionate about this subject. So when I see something that conflicts with my values (especially regarding someone with similar values) of course I am going to speak up. If I think something is wrong, I’m going to voice it... as are most other people in this world. I am not saying Cammie is a bad person... never have, never will. I am simply commenting on this decision to partner with Clinique as a whole.

@vansneil The latter part of your comment is not true. Again, we were genuinely asking questions and voicing our concerns.... not telling her what to do or how to live her life. We, as fans, were wanting her to hear us out... just like she wants us to hear her out. We don’t think it’s right to claim one thing and do another. It’s not the end of the world... but we have an opinion on something, we voiced it. We did not call Cammie names or bash her or anything of the sort. Influencers need to be able to take constructive criticism and have tough conversations. We don’t have to bow down to everything they do and say just because they have followers and money and fame.

@christalovely she didnt brush it off as a “hope we can chat” she said she would make an entire video AND do a discussion after the fact and that she would love to hear your opinions there. Then she even mentioned doing a chat prior to her video so youd have a quicker response. She also apologized for the confusion. I think you want her to have a full on discussion right here right now but maybe just wait and see what she says. Like i said, shes never claimed to be the perfect vegan and youre sorta shoving your idea of what she should be down her throat then getting angry over it because shes not living up to YOUR standards.

With respect Cammie, as I am SO NOT a vegan, you don't have to be a vegan. Just be honest and say the cheque was fat. I don't want you getting attacked becaue you're a person and a person is allowed to make their own choices. Just admit you're not vegan anymore. No big deal. Who cares? You can't claim to be vegan getting paid by, using and endorsing a company that both uses animal products and tests on animals, whatever country it is. The company paying you is still doing it. Just be honest. I subscribed to you because you were always so open and honest but you really have become such a cliche influencer now, it isnsad

It’s really disappointing for you to constantly spread veganism & then openly have this AD up which is completely against veganism. This isn’t a vegan product nor can you claim they’re cruelty free. Doesn’t matter if it’s only tested on animals in China, that’s still animal testing. To try & use that as an excuse is awful. The reality is that she’s doing this for the money & it’s a big let down. Instead of coming up with little excuses to make it seem better, own up to it. This whole thing is very hypocritical.
