Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier | I had to kick hard to keep up with this southern stingray as it traveled, almost as if it were flying, over a sandy bottom in the Bahamas. There is something about a photo in black and white that resonates with me. I love a good color photograph too, of course, but there's a simplicity in achromatic images that calls attention to the form and the frame of the image; you focus on the light and the shadow and shapes, the pieces that are left when you take the color out. To me, they feel quiet, if quiet can be a feeling. If you could describe this image in one word, what would it be? djl5674 I really love this photo. I did a double take and looked closer. I thought it was a stingray in flight.
