wymike5277 @dupree_halliman the marines and army are only really that much different in culture and opportunity. Marines, for example, dont do specified contracts down to the specific job field. If you want to be marine infantry, for example, you get 03xx or 0300 (which means you have an infantry MOS but no specification as to which infantry you'll be). The army will give you the exact job down to the specified field if you desire that. Theres more sign on bonuses in the army also. The biggest difference you'll get between enlisting in the marines vs the army (from what I've been told from the dudes that made the switch) is that marines have a longer boot camp and are cockier. Lmao

henri_and_zuul @dupree_halliman it's been a minute since I enlisted but they'll have a discussion about why you want to join, (patriotism, free school, etc) they may show you a book of possible MOSs (mission occupational Specialty). Keep in mind that recruiters have quotas and will push you towards a specific MOS in a specific month. If you find a job you like and want (say Intel) stand fast and be prepared to go to another service to get it.

henri_and_zuul @dupree_halliman I don't remember. I used to ride my bike in around that age. Schedule an appt and check out your options. Don't do drugs, pay CLOSE attention to the tattoo regs and stay away from the doctor as much as you can and every MOS should be open to you without a problem. Good luck!
