Don't go in that water. Normally, New Jersey’s largest lake would be buzzing with swimmers and water skiers this time of year. But workers have been laid off, sailing lessons canceled and summers ruined as clouds of blue-green algae — which make the water unsafe for swimmers — are blooming in quantities never before recorded. Climate change is a likely factor, scientists say, in an increase in blooms of cyanobacteria — single-cell organisms that, when they grow densely, can produce toxic substances. I think, it is false to state, that Trump does not believe in climate change. He does not care. He could not care less about warmth, poisonous algae, some stupid animals not living. Or living or whatever they usually do. He is not interested. His thing is might. And he got that. From his Jesus-Guys, the populists.

Stop using fertilizer, pesticides and weed killers They effect water quality and do not help create a healthy garden. Use compost on your yard once a year and on your flower beds. Hand weed gardens, and lawns with a few weeds take a chill pill. its ok.

Okay but doesnt algae clean the air immensely for us? So are these blooms really a bad thing? Maybe for tourism, but maybe it's here to help with climate change and carbon sequestration

Not true! India took initiative to plant a million trees to help combat climate change. And promised to plant a million more..cleaning some of their beaches as well.

Perhaps they should be thrown in this lake , just for fun , swung by the arms and legs while they giggle in anticipation. Like the kids that should be swimming there😡

It won’t take much for this planet to become inhospitable to humans, especially when humanity is being inhospitable to other life in this planet 🌎 🌍 🌏
