17 countries around the world are facing the prospect of running out of water, according to new data from the World Resources Institute. Many are arid countries to begin with, while others squander what water they have or rely too heavily on groundwater that has no chance to replenish. Climate change heightens the risk: As rainfall becomes more erratic, the water supply becomes less reliable, and as the days grow hotter, more water evaporates from reservoirs just as demand for water increases. The stakes are increasingly high as more large, thirsty cities around the world — from São Paulo to Cape Town to Los Angeles — continue to face catastrophic droughts. But a lot can be done to improve water management. Click the link in our bio to read more.

Water companies around the world waste billions of gallons every year through leaking pipes and antiquated delivery systems. Instead of returning billions in profits to the shareholders every year, they need to invest in systems to deliver the future supplies. Water is a precious finite resource, companies and consumers need to remember this

When we consume stuff, let's be mindful: it takes about 1 gal of water to produce 1 single almond! 1 takes 3 gal for a cup of lettuce, 22 gal for a 10-min-shower, 53 gal for one egg, 713 gal for a t-shirt, 1,232 gal for an 8oz steak, 1,800 gal for a pair of jeans.....

I can’t, for the life of me, understand why or how people can deny the current climate catastrophe, when all the scientific facts are available to everyone. Do deniers not read, research, study the current situation. What makes these people deny the facts?

US will not run out of water. They will use whatever it takes (including military actions) in South America (mostly included Brasil) when the time comes. What about EU? Well, they will have Africa, just as they used to before the first great war.

Ban the production of soda? Think of all the water stored in plastic bottles of either water or other liquids in stores across the globe. The harvesting of fresh water has to be a factor, and one we can legislate directly.

If only they’ll stop messing with the waters our planet Earth gives us all. Greed builds the dams and cuts water to Mexico and naturally river flows!!!
