No, these have actually horrible meanings. It’s terrible, horrible. The writings are names of people that died in the name of the king to become a god. When people would be taken hostage they would kill themselves for their king so that they would become gods because that is what they were told. This shouldn’t be displayed as beautiful when it is just as tragic as people dying in gas chambers. Shin means Gods and sai means temple so gods temple, meaning that these people are “gods” These names are from the Second World War. The names are of Japanese soldiers and Japanese colonial people, they were taught that if they died in the name of the king they would become gods so they purposefully died. They caused death and despair on so many, they do not deserve this praise for “beauty”

Japan is an amazing country of beauty...most think of Japan as being totally crowded cities, but that is no so. The countryside is amazing, the temples and gardens unforgettable...their people are so gracious and polite!
