How do you define your freedom?

I live in Dayton Ohio. The shootings are all anyone is talking about here. What if, just for a moment we talked about how to read all the warning signs of those who are mentally unstable. The signs were there with this person yet he was able to get an assault rifle and take innocent lives with it. The rifle did not shoot itself. Bombs are not made themselves, whatever method of destruction and evil someone uses it still has a person at the realm. I say this not just for Dayton but for all the cities that have had shootings and lives lost at the hands of someone unstable. We should be able to go to church, stores, movies, school etc and not worry if we will live to see tomorrow. Write to your state Officials about your concerns of violence and safety. We as a whole need to start somewhere to put an end to this madness and senseless loss of precious lives. God speed to all reading this. May we all unite together for this greater purpose.

"I want any young men who buy a gun to be treated like young women who seek an abortion. Think about it: a mandatory 48-hours waiting period, written permission from a parent or a judge, a note from a doctor proving that he understands what he is about to do, time spent watching a video on individual and mass murders, traveling hundreds of miles at his own expense to the nearest gun shop, and walking through protestors holding photos of loved ones killed by guns, protestor who call him a murderer.
After all, it makes more sense to do this for young men seeking guns than for young women seeking an abortion. No young woman needing reproductive freedom has ever murdered a roomful of strangers."

@amayher73 I feel perfectly safe because I own a gun and I am trained well to end any threats that come my way. The only time we have to worry is when liberals are around or in cities like LA, Chicago and the other gun free areas. My husband who was held up and his family almost killed several times in Brazil where guns are illegal for citizens to own is glad to know our family sleeps safe every night. So you have no clue what you are talking about and probably live in an area where you adapted to crime and just avoid it and can’t freely come and go like I do.

Gun control isn’t the only answer. Drugs are illegal and how many die every day because they got in the wrong hands. Let’s put blame where it need to be and that on the person behind the gun. Do we blame Dr for all the illegal drugs on the street, do we blame a car for a DUI, suck it up people and take responsibility for your own actions. Freedom for me is not living in fear & knowing I can protect my family if I need to. Media plays the way up!!!

@caterinascorsone imma go ahead and apologize for the conflict in your comments that i took part in, i can't imagine what it must be like for you to read so many comments of people who are loud and wrong just to be loud and wrong. thank you for acknowledging the plights of Black queer folks like myself even when you come up against the opps and for speaking up about these mass shootings and countless other issues america has. i see you ✊🏾

@missrachelveronica if someone came to school with a knife they are easier to take down and those crimes result in a lot less deaths.
We have free healthcare and gun laws and unlike America we have a lower rate of school deaths and terrorism. The most recent attacks have been people in cars, with less deaths than if he had a gun, and the city has bouldards to prevent it happening again.
