So, full disclosure, @theprommusical wasn’t necessarily on my list to see. My daughter saw the performance on the @thetonyawards and was adamant we see it. Boy am I glad, because I was blown away. It’s truly an important show. Thank you, truly, to the cast of the Prom. I cried hard, but I also laughed hard. And my daughter walked away understanding that she has a voice, capable of making great change. Acceptance, selflessness, compassion, all themes we can always use more of. And on top of all that, the song “we look to you” perfectly encompasses every reason I love Broadway. Please see this show.

macmish I felt exactly the same when I took my 14 & 16 year olds! We laughed hard and we cried hard. A deserved spontaneous standing ovation from an audience who was with the performers every step of the way gives me hope that these young people really can be catalysts for acceptance and change! What a cast, what a show! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

lusmith23 I couldn’t agree more with you! We took our 13-year-old daughter to see this a couple of weeks ago and we were all blown away at how awesome this Broadway show is. It opened up so much discussion in our family. We also found out that the same thing happened in our local high school just this year 🥺. This show is a MUST SEE 🤓🌈

tammy_c_m My son and I were seeing Dear Evan Hansen down the street on the same night. An equally impactful performance. We cried through most of it and he had so many questions and showed so much empathy at such a young age. Performances like these are so important for our young people. Good job mom!
