@lovingthelucaslife yes! I recently turned 62 and I agree, I feel so much better without alcohol. It’s true that as we age it’s harder to process toxins and the world has become so highly toxic with all the chemicals in our environment. It puts a greater burden on our systems to deal with it. It makes sense to me to eliminate the toxins I have the ability to, since so many are not within my control in our environment.

There is good data that for women, just having 3 alcoholic drinks per week increases your risk for breast cancer by 15%. Another study shows moderate alcohol consumption for women is linked to 30-50% increase risk for breast cancer risk. Is the the short term pleasure of drinking alcohol worth this increased risk in breast cancer?

I drink tequila or mezcal (on the rocks) almost daily & i am rarely ever sick, I never have a cold. My grandparents always had a cocktail daily & lived into their 90’s

To each his own. You have to live your own life (moderation is key). I have been sober for years and had a drink of wine or something low sugar every now and then.

@anneherrick1 I decided to stop all alcohol when I turned 60, 6 months ago. It’s been the best decision I’ve made, I’ve never felt better. 👍👊👍

Looking forward to this!! Pretty sure I stick with wine simply out of concern for all the sugary cocktail added stuff...🤷🏻♀️
