We have a dysfunctional child care system in this country, which is too expensive for parents, while providers are paid totally inadequate wages.
We need to do what other countries around the world do — develop a high-quality, universal child care program.

This might be an unpopular opinion but as a childless by choice female I fully support this. I've noticed often that women without children are given more time and more responsibility at work simply because the workers who are mothers HAVE to take time off. It ends up feeling like childless workers are built in babysitters in a way. However that should not be dictating our roles at work. I'd rather pay a small amount of my money towards universal childcare than continue this way. Please also remember we were all children once, we're all in this together.

My husband is a stay at home dad this reason. In order to pay for child care, he would have to have a full time job. But in order to have child care for the full time job, we would have to use ALL the money he makes from his full time job to pay for said child care. It makes no sense. He works solely to pay for child care so he can go to work. So basically, until both of our children are in school (at least 3-4 years from now) he will be a stay at home parent.

I'm for free education not free childcare. If you decide to have children you need to be in a financially responsible position... this is the problem we currently have everyone thinks Uncle Sam is their baby daddy... Give everyone a free education up to a Bachelor's degree or skills trade and no one will need this assistance they will be able to afford to take care of their family

The unlimited amount of money from shell companies, PACS and wealthy individuals has influenced our tax code, budget priorities and our very own politicians. The fact is that a very few live in opulence while the rest of mankind lives paycheck to paycheck. This warped world needs bold progressive programs that empower the people.

I pay someone's rent every month for my daughter to go to a very full daycare (within state ratio). It's rlly insane. Of course it wouldnt be an issue if my pay were more fair so this rlly could go on & on. We need big time reform in this country #makeamericagreatforonce

With love ❤️ Why would we want anyone other than the parents raising our children? If bobody can be home the children, where is the grandparents, where is the community? Cultivating the family is more loving in my perspective that “fighting” for separation.
