Medicare for All: no co-pays, no deductibles, no premiums.

Exactly this! Family of 4 living on husbands firefighter salary with 3k individual deductibles. I’m in nursing school getting student loans- no savings. Our housing tax has almost doubled over the past 6 years (3500 a year to 6500 a year) and groceries are going up. How is it that we are taxed almost 30% then pay 8.25% tax on things we buy yet don’t have affordable healthcare or college? My books are over $1200 and taxed at 8.25%. We are the middle class and we are suffering! The trickle down economics does not work; it only creates larger wealth gaps among the upper class and middle class.

I work hard at a high tech company in Silicon Valley for 21+ years, pay into Insurance- Anthem Blue Cross PPO. I was prescribed two prescriptions this week, one was $3.86 the second was $300.00 (not covered). I left with only the prescription I could afford. The $300.00 prescription was left behind. How is this right?!? How is hydrocortisone not be covered? I work, pay a mortgage that I can barely afford, pay into Insurance and need to survive the high prices in Silicon Valley. How do other people less fortunate manage? Please help!

I am an American student currently studying in Germany with basic healthcare. I pay 160€ a month for EXCELLENT healthcare. I don’t have to pay any copays or anything for that matter during a normal visit for a simple cold. ESPECIALLY if I am in immediate and serious danger, like a broken leg, I do not pay much. The only thing we have to pay for are prescriptions, and even then they are a fourth of the price than in the US with higher quality ingredients. #BERNIE2020 #healthcareforall

@berniesanders 🙌🏽EXACTLY! I just recently went to the hospital because I broke my foot. Then the hospital registration tells me I owe a $500 copay!! This is after we pay a ridiculous amount FOR the insurance itself MONTHLY (through my husband’s employer). Then, we still have to cover what insurance won’t which is thousands of dollars. So yes, you are absolutely right about even people with insurance going broke.

Begging to not take an ambulance when I needed one was a real thing for me, because I knew I couldn’t afford it. I work 50 hours a week and am in the process of getting an applied math major and 3 minors, as well as an actuarial sciences certificate. I’m tired of sacrificing my health tuition bills. And trust me, I am not improving in health in any way by avoiding care I need

I pay so much for medical insurance for my wife and I. Dental and vision aren't even included. So I have to spend twice as much to get it all? Fine, if I have to. Then I go to my scheduled appointment and they charge a co-pay... And then there's the prescriptions. When does it end? I feel like I work to just to afford to be able to live a healthy life.
