flying so early in the morning but I had to take a minute to reflect on the fact that I am flying with my dancing cymbal smashing boots and my beautiful bass and cough drops and all the other things that mean one thing and one thing only- the tour is about to begin. The last time I toured was the fall of 2012. Nearly 7 years where my fear of performing steadily grew to a fever pitch with every show i didn’t, couldn’t, do. I didn’t think I’d ever have the courage to do it. But that was before @alichant, before @petepeterpedro and @sargold and @turnerjenjen , the musical collaborators of my dreams ... it was before a lot of things in my life finally and mercifully falling apart in order to be rebuilt in a healthier way. Before i read Women Who Run with the Wolves and learned of the Life-Death-Life cycle, where death is a necessary part of life, and that letting things go creates room for new tiny green shoots of joy and creativity. That life has its seasons, and there is beauty in every stage. It was before I knew how important it is to communicate feelings, and how important it is to ask for help. Before I knew how much the people I loved would be there for me no matter what. It was before so many things, but not before @estuary_artists ♥️ Ade has been there since the beginning, steady, endlessly supportive, trustworthy, empathetic and passionate. My guide, my dear friend. I would still be letting my fear of playing music live win if not for her. And Kat, Ade’s right hand woman, an organizational wizard, total badass and gentle anchor amidst the chaos that is the life of music... and quiet, for getting us on our feet and running towards all the unknowns. I just can’t believe I’m getting a chance to come back, now that I’ve realized that playing live is actually the best. It’s food for my soul and it’s fun as hell when playing with such ridiculously gifted and wonderful humans as i get to. What a gift. To those of you that are coming to see us, we are all very much looking forward to seeing you. suziesanchez_ Ali, I might’ve expressed this more than once on many of your other posts but i shall say it again. I AM PROUD OF YOU. As an artist and as a human. You’ve come a far way since 2012. To all those beautiful souls that have stuck with you since then and have been there for you in your musical journey and personal, bless their hearts. This tour wouldn’t have happened without all of you and i know deep down that all of us going to see you will immerse ourselves in the beautiful music you’ve made and enjoy every single moment of it. You’re someone i look up to and admire for many reasons and you/your music have given me that boost i need whenever i come across bumps in my life. Seeing you thriving in life makes me happy and gives me motivation to keep going too. I wish you ALL the best of luck on your tour, I’m happy you’re going back to doing what you love most, and i’ll see you on the 3rd ❤️

I’m one of the 2007 fan and I Watch every single Thing you do since then, I love the passion that you put through all your career and I was patiently waiting for the come back. sufferthesea My sister and I have loved your music since we discovered it in 2007/2008. We were so pleased to see you were doing a tour after such a long hiatus. Even though we won't get to see you this time, we are hoping and believing we will see you perform live eventually.
