Talk about #ShockValue?! (See what I did there? 😜) On this day in 2007, my life was changing...my dream was coming alive. @Timbaland & I began our 2 week run at #1 on the #BillboardHot100 for #TheWayIAre (I‘ve always had a knack for coming up w/ quirky titles) during a highly competitive era in music charting. I am truly forever grateful for the COLOSSAL launching pad you gave me, @timbaland. I remember you playing this track in your studio in VA like it was yesterday...and the knowing that THIS song would move the world...and how quickly God gave me the melodies (believe it or not, this song was 70’s R&B funk in my head, but that Salt & Peppa ”Push It” melody wouldn’t leave my brain either & Tim allowed me to record all my weird ass ideas 😂), and how the concept was inspired by my then-relationship, and how beautifully @domesticandice & @trilly_dee_williams helped bring it all together, and how confidently I knew we were creating a timeless piece, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do wit this hobby of mine. I remember learning the true power of music—doing interviews in Singapore, Malaysia, & faraway places I STILL have yet to step foot in. (We gotta fix that this time around...) I remember the carpets, the meetings & interviews, my first @MTV #VMA performance, the crash-courses on performing much larger stages than I’d ever touched...the constant feeling of disbelief... 😱🤩 I don’t know all the creds this song holds to date, but it was way more than I ever dreamed. Thank you to my fans who were born of this song. 🌍 🎶

This just took me back to one of my most memorable relationships. I remember we would listen to your album and just vibe. Every time you post, I think you are announcing a new music release. I know things will happen in God’s timing and when it does I will be ready. You just don’t know how much your music plays a big role in my life. You’ve touched me musically for the very first time with this one. It’s funny because for the past 3 days I’ve been playing “All the Boys” on repeat day and night. Love u so much Keri Hilson since i discovered you in this song. I think you deserve more because of your talent as a singer and a songwritter wich is very rare in this industry. I think that 90% of the singers(girls) are only puppets and follow the money instead of their passion...
