I don’t need FaceApp to tell me I’m getting older... I have my kids for that.

(ps: over on @annaistheworst we are talking about data-storing apps, if you’re interested or scared or totally confused at what I’m even talking about 😂🤔🙌)

Parenting super power #1,052: being able to somehow "make" all 4 kids cry at the same time...often in a public place?? But can we talk about children's superpowers?? As parents we try to not react in certain situations to make it worse. Pretty sure my kids can see the tiniest raise of my eye brows in one of those "are you kidding me right now!? This is so incredibly inconvenient" moments....which they take as a cue to the tantrums, screaming, and wailing. All because of a barely noticeable eyebrow raise. ???♀️ Apparently I need to somehow work on my superpowers and make that eye brow raise a 10th of a nanometer so it isn't as visible.

I assign “bonus points”— you just helped me, 12 bonus points. You took out the garbage 64 bonus points, sleeping in, 100 bonus points. What do these bonus points get my kids— absolutely nothing, but for whatever reason if I assign some points to something, it gets done far easier than if I don’t ?♀️

**babysitting power** but will be used when I have kids. Play the robot game, they pretend they’re robots, after a few minutes tell them they need to recharge by laying on the floor completely silent. If all goes well, a nap might take place! At least you can get a solid 5 minutes of quiet time 🤪

My parenting super power is getting kids/babies to sleep though the night. I’m seriously the baby whisperer. And when I have friends whose babies won’t sleep through the night, all they have to do is do what I say and then their baby will be sleeping like a champ.

I’m kind of excited to find out my parenting super power - less than 2 months to go! But I currently have auntie super powers that include telling the best jokes, setting up the best obstacle courses, and planning the best adventures.

My parenting super power is singing songs that go with my current situation like “Somebody save me” (from Smallville ?)...my 5yo old now even sings to my 18mo twins: “Y’all gon make me lose my mind, up in here, up in here.” ?
